As a clinician looking through the lens of policy and history in the discourse of disability, social inclusion and justice, I realized how it is never straightforward. The notion of an inclusive education has to be scrutinized in its totality: within a society driven by market-led measures of achievement and economic prosperity. In this manner, the rhetoric of inclusion can be rightfully assessed: so one may not fall into the trap of a haphazard claim that inclusion necessarily leads to non-exclusion.
Deep thoughts! ❤
